In May 2008, I served as a co-leader on 10 consecutive pelagic trips out of Hatteras and Oregon Inlet (the last day). These trips are operated by Brian Patteson http://www.seabirding.com). These photos illustrate the fabulous birding I enjoyed across that 10 day period. I also led several more trips during 2008.
A pod of Clymene Dolphins rode the bow of the boat for a while on May 17; this was only the second time that Brian had recorded this poorly known marine mammal.
